www.cbsnews.com/news/tesla-recall-cybertrucks-4000-due-faulty-accelerator-pedal/ U.S. Tesla recalls nearly 4,000 Cybertrucks due to faulty accelerator pedalTesla recalled all Cybertrucks made between November 13, 2023, to April 4, 2024. The MY 2024 Cybertrucks have faulty accelerator pedals that may be dislodged when high force is applied, the National Highway Traffic Association, which issued the recall report, said. The recall affects nearly 4,000 cars, Reuters reported. The pedal could become trapped in the interior trim above it, which may increase the risk of collision, the agency said. If you're going to point out Tesla recalls, why not add other car manufacturer recalls? I've only seen you post Teslas. Hard to tell if you're just posting because it's negligibly related to this thread or just posting any negative news about Tesla? As mentioned before. It's new and it's going through teething phase. People who want to be the "first" should already be aware of issues they are going to encounter for owning such a new type of vehicle. www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/recalls/2023/10/02/car-recall-check-kia-hyundai/71017047007/www.usatoday.com/story/money/cars/recalls/2023/12/18/car-recall-check-tesla-mazda-lamborghini-among-2-million-recalled/71945420007/www.thecarconnection.com/news/1142930_ford-recalls-456-565-maverick-bronco-sport-for-loss-of-drive-powerwww.thecarconnection.com/news/1142435_toyota-recalls-381-000-tacoma-trucks-for-loose-nutsand more... www.thecarconnection.com/news/recallsUh, posted on a Tesla thread and you're mad? lol

How much does it cost to use a supercharger ? It depends of the supercharger location. On average $0.30/ kWh. At home it's about $0.15/kWh. So last night I charged at home = $5 for 34kWh. No. Consider me stupid. I don't know how much it costs to fill an EV. When I fill my SUV with gasoline, it's around $50 and lasts me around 2 weeks. How much does it cost to fill an EV - say a car or truck ?

Found this parking lot on the way to SpaceX. It's pretty big with lots of EV chargers, like the one I have at home. Must be for SpaceX employees as an overflow parking. It's located at S. Oklahoma Ave and Boca Chica Blvd. View Attachment Any idea how many workers are currently at Starbase? I thought there'd be hundreds by now, where else are they charging?

2100 full time employees and 600 contract-employees. That spaceport operates 24-7/365. That parking lot has been there for a while, I posted about it a while back. Employees taking the shuttle from that parking lot are allowed to bypass the border patrol checkpoint. SpaceX owns an additional 20 acres about mile from this parking lot closer to town.

That's got to be great for Brownsville's real estate market. When are you moving back and becoming one of them ?

Yeah wait til the 5,000 - 7,000 construction workers needed for the 2 LNG plants show up. I'm still on the fence about LNG plants. Read too much negativity from places that have one to not be. Hope they're not all true and it's a long term success for Brownsville. Not just a burst of thousands of jobs then just a handful for maintenance.

500+ to run Rio Grande LNG (after construction) at an average of 70k (and that’s a good salary for the RGV, not so for Austin). And I believe another 300+ for Texas LNG. These numbers don’t include the ancillary jobs that will be created by those two massive plants in Brownsville.
Tesla is a ghost town compared to 3 weeks ago. There was chatter amongst the employees about layoffs so they knew they were coming, they just didn’t know how severe they would be. Honestly they hired way too many people, there were so many kids standing around on their phones waiting for parts or the manufacturing line to work. Employees seemed like they were more “hanging out” than working. Way too many employees.

The MY comes with 75kW battery. For the whole month of March I paid $54.
