I think "spring breaks" are not as popular as they once were with college kids, especially once SXSW showed up on the scene.

What happened to SPI? Negative? I would have thought that Starship viewing would bring in more construction. I haven't heard of any high rise construction on the island since the 2000s. This year was a perfect weather year for Spring Break. There are usually at least two cold and/or rainy weeks keeping people away. i remember telling coworkers that this year, SB came and went quietly. no one died. no one fell off a balcony. No one got lost in mexico. No complaints of waiting hours on the causeway or hwy. 100. It just happened but nothing noteable happened?
