Way to go McAllen! Even considering Spring Break in March/April (semana santa), MFE is still closer to 50% of the market share!

McAllen is RGV leading airport. Again. www.themonitor.com/2020/02/23/passengers-numbers-soar-mcallen-airport/. “This steady growth has positioned MFE as the leading airport in the Rio Grande Valley, having captured the majority of market share since 2012. The trend continued in 2019, with MFE capturing 48% of market share in the region over Harlingen (38%) and Brownsville (14%).”

I mean, it's not a bad thing either. I remember last year a reporter for the monitor mentioned that HRL would be the leading airport in the area . It'a a shame the Phoneinx/Mesa flight didn't do so great for allegiant air. They're dropping that flight in april so MFE's 2020 numbers might decline a bit

riograndeguardian.com/officials-pandemic-has-caused-mcallen-to-forge-closer-alliances-with-airlines/As for the announcement about Nashville, Suarez said: “We are really excited about Nashville. In many ways it is a no-brainer, the airline is trying to build that hub, it is leisure, the City does not have to invest a million dollars in a revenue guarantee. It is even a good opportunity to gauge what the community is willing to do and what destinations they are looking for. And whether or not tourism is really picking up or not.”
