I've never heard of them. They seem to be a big deal though. lol Rock band that peaked in the late 90's - early 2000's. Never got into them myself but I know quite a bit of people that are excited for this.

Sounds like fun. It had best be affordable fashions. (Thrift Stores). lol I know there's been a fashion week event for a few years now that is hosted in McAllen, but I don't know how that is at the moment. Update: I never posted about my experience on Brownsville Fashion Week ha! I didn't mind traveling from Weslaco to Brownsville the three days that it happened since this was something new for me (and also knowing that this was only about an hour away from home). The fashion itself was cool and varied from each other (except for day 3, but I'll get to that shortly). All the shows ran late (by at least an hour I may add) so that was definitely an annoyance to me. They were all in different areas in downtown Brownsville and the evening ones were better to attend than the ones that happened in the day (since they were all outside and it was blistering hot out that weekend). Honestly I think maybe a few hundred people (like maybe 300-400) were present throughout the entire weekend (including models, designers, etc.) and it was nice seeing a diverse group of people attend these shows. There was 1 pre-party the day before the main 3 days and 3 after-parties that happened after each day (I only attended one of these parties and that was one on the last day at a newer business in downtown Brownsville called The Spanish Moon, nice place and like the rooftop terrace they have). Speaking of day 3, apparently 2 of the designers cancelled and one of the shows got completely scrapped (thank goodness it was the early afternoon one and not the evening one). One of the other designers from the first day redid their show so that there was something for the last day (they did have another designer present their collection as well so thank goodness). There are definitely improvements to be made, but it did well from what I've heard because they're already planning a second one for 2020 and I plan on attending it (although I hope they have different venues for this second one (preferable a couple more that are indoors)). Here's a video from the event (catch me in the background in a couple of shots ) netargv.com/2019/06/04/video-brownsville-fashion-week-2019/
