I find it silly that some of the Brownsville folks are salivating over a rumored Macy's development along an abandoned railway. Macy's shut down 100 of their stores this year alone. Why would they want to build in a smallish market? McAllen's store does well because of the Monterrey shoppers with money, not because of Reynosa for the most part. Matamoros doesn't have the same money. Good luck to them though!
