One of the ugliest stores in retail is crushing its competition(Customers love Ross, despite the messy stores.Business Insider/Hayley Peterson) Ross Stores is breaking all the rules of traditional retail, and it has become an unstoppable force as a result. Many of the retailer's stores are messy and disorganized, with aisles of empty shelves and bare walls. In some stores, the fitting rooms are "dirty," the service is "horrible," and merchandise is mislabeled, ink-stained, broken, or damaged, according to an analysis of dozens of customer reviews on Yelp. But in those same reviews, customers complaining about the state of the stores admit they love shopping in them for the "insane" deals. "I LOVE SHOPPING AT ROSS!" one customer wrote on Yelp, adding that she feels like she's "robbing the bank" when she finds deals there. Another wrote: "I love this place for cheap clothes. It's just always so dirty, dank and full of screaming children." The company's most recent quarter far outshined the rest of the industry, with overall sales gains of 8% to $3.4 billion, and same-store sales gains of 4%, on top of 4% growth last year. finance.yahoo.com/news/ross-most-disastrous-stores-retail-164710874.html

It is surprising they're opening a Ross on 29th considering the one on Shary.

All this money being spent on this new development and they bring in Burlington and Ross? Bleah. Has anyone heard a peep about Dave & Buster's in this shopping center since it opened? The hoopla died down really quick!

Speaking of Shops at 29, Bubba's 33 is opening next month.

Well that's good to know. Seriously though, the commercials on tv & radio have completely stopped. I still hear the Main Event ones. And sometimes the Europa ones on the radio on 107.9 with the chef on talking about it.

There's the Circle K, and hearing of Dunkin Donuts there, but besides that, anything else? (I have my own store theories but don't want to say since they're just theories).

It's Donna so I don't expect too much. Probably a Fallas Paredes or Dollar Tree or General. Same developer as Shops at 29th where there's a Burlington and upcoming Ross... so maybe either of those, again. Doubt they'll get an ULTA or Dave & Busters.
