Edinburg looks like it's going to go into a hotel boom in 2018. Found a document that list the Hilton hotels projects in the U.S. Edinburg had 3 on the list.

Looks like they are preparing the land where the Home2 and tru hotels are supposed to be. There's a lot of water lines on the site now.

I was wondering about the Home2 and Tru hotels ever since reading about it last year. Cool to see this Tru will be one of the 1st in Texas (I believe they are barely gonna open concepts of it in Dallas and Houston).
Surprised about the Hilton Garden Inn but yeah, Bert Ogden Arena must be helping with that (when will the Harlingen one open lol).

Yup it's "supposed" to be across from the Townplace suites.
I'm surprised the city hasn't mentioned anything about either of these hotels. Townplace suites was all the city talked about for a while and it wasn't even close to breaking ground at that point.

Yup it's "supposed" to be across from the Townplace suites. I'm surprised the city hasn't mentioned anything about either of these hotels. Townplace suites was all the city talked about for a while and it wasn't even close to breaking ground at that point. Ahh ok. I've seen the cleared land there. Interesting. |

Found out where the edinburg hilton garden inn is supposed to be. SEQ of W University Ave and S Sugar
It's probably that area right behind the chickfila.
