CVS shutting down one Brownsville and one Rio Grande City pharmacies — Retail pharmacy giant CVS is closing 46 of what it calls “underperforming” locations, including stores in Brownsville and Rio Grande City. The drugstore chain will shut down its location at 1454 Central Blvd. in Brownsville as well as the pharmacy in Rio Grande City at 5322 E. U.S. Highway 83. They were going to take over the market from Walgreens and Walmart pharmacies. Guess not, huh?

LOL Comments on that posting. Sears and Payless wasn't Harlingen's fault... Dillard's? Yes. "Lilly Winters: Trader Joe’s is not cheap. We couldn’t keep Dillard’s, Sears, Payless supported. What makes you think we can support a Trader Joe’s.?"
