STC's goal has always been to be a true college, not just a stepping stone to UTRGV. Maybe they're going to start offering competitive sports? Or it could just be for the "kids" to have somewhere to play and have fun to blow off steam like at the Sonic in Pharr by the Costco? lol

It definitely would entice more people that are considering attending STC to maybe go for it in the activity sense; though from my time at STC, everybody from students to professors complained about parking so I think that should be a priority to the college before volleyball courts. They do have a volleyball team of sorts also, but I would think they would make that on some wood or rubber court, not sand so idk.

New logo for 30th Anniversary! 50,000 students?!?!? South Texas College is celebrating 30 years and to kick off the celebration, the college has revealed a new logo that will move the college into a new era of transformation and innovation. During the college’s annual Fall Convocation at the McAllen Convention Center, attended by nearly 2,000 elected officials, community leaders and college faculty and staff, STC revealed its new logo inspired by the rosette on a jaguar’s pelt. The jaguar is the college’s mascot. texasborderbusiness.com/a-new-look-stc-reveals-new-logo-celebrates-30-years-in-the-community/
