I’d hate to let you down “Mr. Pibb” (Dr. Pepper) ……. But “Granolbright”, “Minionsofmules, or any other name this person might be using is not me. If I’m going to come on this forum and comment there’s no reason to be anyone but me. It sounds like some guy named Andres from Brownsville who’s always commenting on Facebook posts related to Brownsville. And to be clear I’ve been visiting this Forum almost on a daily basis ever since “Senor Cookie” bounced from the original RGV forum a few years back….. I just haven’t felt compelled to comment until now, even after all the s**t that’s been said about me on this Forum. And I’ll address the whole “Cameron County Forum” in a post later today. And Robert/tlv202, you can keep that dying forum all to yourself (cause that’s what you really wanted anyway right?) As even YOU have migrated over to this site, because you’re now in an echo chamber on what should now be known as the Harlingen Forum. Miles, I miss you buddy. You’re the only one that had the cajones to stay behind and debate me on the original RGV Forum. We might have had heated discussions but we got over it and moved on. All the rest of y’all ran away when “Mr Cookie” broke off and started this new forum. Oh my mistake then. That's good that it's not you because this other guy is crazy. Still you should comment. We need more Brownsville info

I hate having to moderate ALL his posts. Why is he such a chicken and won't just register and stand by his words? Just here to cause friction because that other forum is dead. Mr. Cookie rules.

Lol.... let me assure you mr pip...this is not JP and actually I liked his posts...I just dont get why he was banned since he did create lots more traffic in that forum.. n of course, there is miles. Who was there only to create friction with his negative attitude n bias perception of the lower valley. Why are you such a cat that has to hide behind a guest name? Just be a man, or woman, and stand by your words. I'll still moderate your negativity though. I don't want this forum to become like THAT forum.

And if anyone is still worried about the harmful effects this plant might have on the region, the LNG plant at the Port of Brownsville will be the cleanest, most efficient plant in the U.S. - 90% of emissions will be captured and stored. SaveRGV misled the public as well claiming that the employee headcount that would be needed to run this site once it's up and running would be less than 150 people, NextDecade/Bechtel claims there will anywhere form 350 -500 full-time employees making at least $70k/year - that's not including all the contractors that will be required to service the plant - That site will run/operate 24/7/365 just like Tesla does. The global engineering firm Bechtel will forever have a presence at the Port if Brownsville as well, along with any other global engineering/construction firms that had anything to do with the design/construction of this project. Rio Grande LNG is the FIRST AND ONLY U.S. LNG project offering CO2 emissions reduction of more than 90 percent via planned carbon capture and storage – capturing and permanently storing more than 5 million metric tonnes of CO2 per year, equivalent to removing more than one million vehicles from the road annually.

Yep, and that list doesn't even include Texas LNG, another $4 billion project waiting for approval. Brownsville/Harlngen/Cameron County's HOT taxes are going to swell, especially with 11 new hotels proposed between the two cities (Brownsville-9, Harlingen-2) and city/county leaders better take advantage of this period to collect record HoT taxes, maybe then Brownsville/Cameron County will be able to propose an arena funded by tourists/visitors. I seriously doubt that whole arena project is dead, especially now that we know (some of us knew all along) that the proposed $711 million "Epicenter" project in San Benito was NEVER going to happen - If Western Spherical Developers never completed their Epicenter project in League City within the Houston Metro area, they were never going to complete this project. Why the F does San Benito need a fake lagoon when they access to a natural, FREE crystal clear bay 20-25 minutes away from them. And opponents of the proposed Cameron County arena used this Epicenter project as the reason to to defeat the proposal, literally claiming on social media "there's already an arena proposed for San Benito, we don't need two" Y'all got duped. They even had a fake "official groundbreaking" event. Ouch... well, i believe now there will be no arguments as to who will get the area ... Brownsville has secured and paved the way as to where it's gonna be located ... MADERIA and within Brownsville jurisdiction.. but centrally located for all of Cameron county residents to host entertainment venues !!!
