Yep.. thats correct... i used to work at Dillards before they relocated to Sunrise mall...apparently Foleys wanted that same location in front of the mall facing the expressway so ppl could see it... they didn't want to be hidden of mall away from the expressway view.. we relocated to Sunrise mall about 20+yrs ago... Dillards beat them to that current location that their at now.. 🤷♂️

Granola :"And yet, no one wants to live in CC. No one wants to open up stores, restaurants, entertainment options in CC. Why is that?"
And btw to your point granola.. cc is a coastal county and because of that our infrastructure needs to done the best as can be. CC building restriction codes are more rigorous and need to be complied or cannot be built without proper permits. I hear that its easier to open shop in HC because they are more lenient on building. But there is consequences with improper drainage and infrastructure in all or most of HC.. your county officials could care less if there are more colonias in poverty with dirt roads that FLOOD!! CC wont give u a building permit if its a flood zone.. and we are at a lower sea level that you guys... yet you are the ones that flood like crazy.. HC just wants the business to open... just pay for your permit and build like crazy... said it b4 ...HC creció a lo pendejo!!

But who from Cameron County was spreading this rumor about Costco 12 years ago, officials form the city and/of county? Was this rumor being spread on social media 12 years ago? As afar as Foley's is concerned, they DID announce a department store for Sunrise Mall at the same time they announced one for La Plaza Mall......Foley's was already coming, but Dillard's stopped them dead in their tracks. Who? Why the Easter Bunny of course.

There may be some truth asa to what you're saying but the reason we get more retail, restaurants, houses, etc. is because we have double your population. We've got bunnies over here.lol

Yes... i will enjoy it for as long as i can before it gets congested like you all.. i nvr go to the mid valley for that reason and probably NVR will.. I've seen the RGV MPO map and our counties are so different in infrastructure.. so you can stay in your congested flood zones.. n keep your blah, blah, blah to yourselves.. Aww. Does that mean i'll never get to run over, i mean into you?
