i wonder if it's AVELO airlines ? They launched today out of California? Doubt it. Looks like they're focusing on destinations within the west coast to start.
Breeze will be focusing on destinations within the east coast/southeast to start.

With all the announcements being made about Harlingen's airport, ie, American's new flight to Chicago and this, I believe Southwest is leaving Harlingen for Brownsville. i hope so. without SWA, harlingen's airport makes no sense. Brownsville and McAllen are far enough apart to exist financially. harlingen is the odd man out - 6th largest city in population in the RGV has nothing to offer someone flying into the valley except SPI, which is now better served by Brownsville's new airport. It's not even in a convenient location to get in and out of.(not near a highway). Southwest at HRL is not about what Harlingen has to offer, nor what Brownsville and or McAllen have to offer. Southwest is in the Valley for two reasons: ---First and foremost, to get people to/from South Padre Island (73%+ of Southwest traffic at HRL is related to SPI) ---To a much, much lesser degree, to get Valley people out of the Valley and back.
It's not about visiting the Valley at all. It's mostly about the Island. Getting Valley people out of the Valley and back is collateral.
HRL is well-positioned to serve SPI and both sides of the Valley (catchment area).

VIA is stuck way in the back with no direct access. BRO will eventually be connected to I69E with East loop and closer to SPI and SpaceX. But all this is just speculation... If the Valley can't agree on 1 airport, then the most likely airports left standing would be both HRL and MFE.
American Airlines and United Airlines are both reducing service to BRO, but increasing frequency and upgauging at HRL: ---Example: In May, HRL gets 3 CRJ700s a day [195 total seats] while BRO gets 3 RJ145s [150 total seats], and they've added ORD (this would be a 4th daily CRJ700 on Saturdays). In June, American Airlines will increase service at HRL to 4 flights a day (plus ORD on Saturdays, that would be 5 flights on Saturday). Originally, BRO was served by 3 CRJ900s [237 total seats] and HRL was served by 3 RJ140s [132 total seats]. So capacity has significantly increased at HRL, and significantly decreased at BRO. HRL now carries more passengers on American Airlines than BRO.
---United is currently serving HRL with 4 daily flights (3 RJ145s + 1 ERJ175 [226 total seats]), increasing to 5 in the summer. BRO currently gets 2-3 RJ145s [100-150 total seats] a day on United. So depending on the day, HRL gets double the service on United that BRO does. HRL has always carried more passengers on United than BRO carried, even moreso now.
All of this despite BRO's (((NeW tErMiNaL))).

it's going to be a couple of years before people realize BRO has a new airport. Especially established travelers who are used to VIA. I foresee BRO taking over CC flights because of SpaceX.

The new terminal is inconsequential. Most people purchase tickets based on fares and schedule. HRL has the lowest fares out of all three Valley airports.
SpaceX isn't going to generate meaningful traffic for BRO. Because HRL has more flights (flexibility), airlines (options), and non-stop destinations (less connections/layovers), HRL is set up to have passengers flock to it instead of BRO.

If the new terminal in BRO is inconsequential as you say it is, why did Harlingen bother to spend so much money remodeling and updating their terminal? Harlingen is setting themselves up with so many smaller airlines for the upcoming day when BRO takes over their market share.

They announced once again and postponed the announcement for tomorrow. They left a clue that it's an international destination

The remodeling and updates at HRL are part of general maintenance. They didn't rebuild the terminal--they updated flooring, roof, FIS facility, etc.
BRO won't take HRL's market share. BRO's is actually decreasing. American Airlines and United Airlines are both increasing capacity and frequency at HRL while decreasing at BRO. Further, the FIS facility at HRL can handle more international passengers than both MFE and BRO.
